Get to know Phil 

Phil Carrasco, a labor and community organizer, was born in San Jose, California, moving to Eugene in 1993.

 

Carrasco attended Winston Churchill High School in Eugene, graduating from Thurston High School in Springfield.

 

He earned his Associates degree at Lane Community College and is expected to receive his most recent accreditation in Planning, Public Policy and Management from the University of Oregon this March.

 

Phil Carrasco has worked as an educational research assistant/bilingual assessor at Oregon Social Learning Center. 

 

He is the Young Fathers Program coordinator for the Catholic Community Services of Lane County.

 

He also serves as an organizer for Oregon AFL-CIO. 

 

 

 

 

 

He and is wife, Jessica, a life-time Eugene resident, with their two young children, Eva and Lucia.
